Inside the box of the Intempo IDS-01, you will find a power supply, a remote control, and a 3.5 mm jack cable. The Intempo IDS-01 can be both plugged into a wall socket using the power supply cable and also by using 4 AA batteries. The batteries are able to provide 20 hours of playback and you can always using rechargeable batteries to reduce costs. The jack cable is the solution to connecting an iPod shuffle or any other portable multimedia player you may have that is not an iPod, thus having no docking port. The remote control is also very simple like the unit and this is one of its biggest assets. The controls are laid out clearly and very easy to use. The remote control acts as the command centre for the Intempo IDS-01B and delivers the action you want it to do, including the menu for your iPod, the volume control can also be physically manipulated using controls found on the body of the unit itself.
