Going against its previous model, this 4th gen iPod Nano has a portrait screen allowing for a longer list view of the songs and files you wish to view. But, with the accelerometer technology, seen in the iPod Touch, the screen can be moved in a sideways position to allow for a landscape view which is better for viewing pictures and watching movies. The rotating image comes almost instantly and has a seamless change.
Also, when rotating the Apple iPod Nano MB598 sideways while playing or choosing music, you will be able to activate the Cover Flow Mode. This is an Apple iPod innovation which allows the user to browse through his or her music collection and having the essence of going through a shelf of album covers that has a three dimensional feel. Compared to the iPod Classic, the Apple iPod Nano MB598 had a Cover Flow mode which operates smoother.
